Its purpose is to better understand the state of biomass before its use, anticipate its behaviour, and help make more precise decisions in storage, mixing, and combustion. The project focuses on a real problem in the sector: the loss of energy yield caused by biomass degradation and the lack of objective information on its quality throughout the process.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Objective<\/h3>\n<p>The general objective of EnerViA is to develop an intelligent system capable of monitoring, analysing, and optimising the critical processes of a biomass plant. To achieve this, the project will investigate which variables have the greatest influence on resource quality, design data and image capture systems, develop predictive and explainable models, and validate a web-based tool with visualisation and early warnings to support real-time decision-making.<\/p>\n<h3>Predicted results<\/h3>\n<p>New knowledge and technological developments are expected to be obtained, enabling improved energy utilisation of biomass, reduction of operational losses, and progress in the digitalisation of the sector. Among the anticipated outcomes are sensorisation and image capture systems, artificial intelligence models for assessing biomass quality at different stages, and a decision support platform that links resource quality with plant energy performance.
